One day you are among co-workers; the next day you are supervising your friends. Now what? This series of classes is for new (and potential) supervisors interested in those basic management skills that can help them succeed in their new positions.
Class 1: Making the Transition to Leadership Role of the Supervisor
Learn to:
- Identify your role as a supervisor
- Assess Employee Needs
- Gain credibility
- Develop an action plan
Class 2: Understanding Behavorial Styles
Learn to:
- Determine your personal managerial style
- Understand different employee styles
- Use behavioral styles to help you supervise
- Assess what others need from you
Class 3: Assigning Work: Where Did All My Friends Go?
Learn to:
- Identify and clarify exceptations
- Overcome resistance
- Cope with multiple demands
- Work through others
- Acquire the basics of good management practices
Course Fee
While there is no fee for registration and class instruction, there is a $50 course materials charge for the series and you will be asked to supply a PTA number upon registration.
Cancellation Policy
Due to the limited class size, your PTA will be charged $200 if you cancel your registration without at least 72-hour advanced notice prior to the start of the series.
