This training is part of Caltech's ongoing effort to provide the necessary tools to faculty and supervisors to provide an environment that is free of harassment and allows people to perform at optimal levels.
Additionally, Caltech is mandated by AB 1825 to provide training to supervisors. Governor Schwarzenegger signed AB 1825 into law in 2004.
The law requires employers having 50 or more employees to provide a minimum of two hours of classroom or other effective interactive training and education on the subject of sexual harassment to supervisory employees every two years. This includes all individuals who supervise at least one employee.
Attendees will be asked to sign-in when they arrive for the training.
