Leadership Development Series

In our continuing effort to help you reach your performance goals and create successful working teams, Staff Education and Career Development created a series of classes designed to give you the tools to become a stronger leader so that your workgroups may be inspired to excel.

We Hold These Truths to be Self Evident

  • Leadership is an important and integral part of a successful work experience.

  • The way in which a manager leads sets the tone and direction for their team.

  • Effective leadership can directly contribute to an organization’s success.

Takeaways

To address these fundamental beliefs we have designed a Leadership Series that will give you takeaway tools that:

  • move your workgroup forward by putting basic principles of management,
    leadership, motivation and negotiation to work;

  • increase group effectiveness by employing modern organizational practices and methods;

  • use leadership techniques to navigate organizational change by creating
    successful transitions;

  • develop action plans that increase employees’ individual effectiveness via
    practical materials, exercises and techniques.

Prerequisites

This program is intended for managers whom have already participated in the supervisory update class and directly supervise at least one employee.

Series Format

  • The following 3 series will be offered at least once a year:

  1. Fostering an Organizational Culture that Inspires

  2. Leadership Tools that Build Flourishing Organizations

  3. Management Secrets of Thriving Work Groups
