This class is a continuation from the Budget Basics held in 2006, although participation in last year's class is not necessary for attendance.
This class will explore Caltech budgetary topics such as:
- Reading a Discoverer Spreadsheet
- Identifying Expenditure Types
- When Negatives are Positives
- Revenue or Reimbursement?
- Paid Leave Honorable Mentions
Featuring a Q&A session with a panel of Caltech Finance All-Stars!
Although the workshop is not exclusively designed for managers, it will cover budget management stategies for employees that have direct access to the decision-making responsibility for their budgets.
